Theodora Godrich
Associate
Theodora is an Associate in both our Litigation and Corporate Commercial departments. She advises clients on matters relating to real estate transactions, due diligence investigations, competition law, general corporate commercial advisory and dispute resolution.
She joined DML in June 2024 and acts for an array of clients in various business sectors. Theodora particularly enjoys working on Competition matters and provides expert advice on obtaining approval for mergers from the competition authorities and instituting and defending of complaints of alleged anti-competitive conduct.
Theodora has a comprehensive knowledge base to provide strategic advice to clients in commercial sectors, as well as experience in handling complex transactions. She is committed to providing clients with expertise legal advice. Theodora thrives in finding cost effective, appropriate and prompt resolutions to disputes.
Background
Theodora begun her legal career in Sandton, Johannesburg where she completed her articles and gained experience in general commercial litigation, commercial, franchising, consumer protection, aviation, gambling, and competition law. In 2022 she was admitted as an attorney. Theodora then joined the Competition Tribunal where she gained extensive knowledge in merger control, interim relief, abuse of dominance and prohibited practices.
Theodora moved to Cape Town recently and in her leisure time enjoys exploring the city and wilderness alike.
