Arinda was admitted as an attorney in February 2016 and as a conveyancer and notary public in 2016 and 2017 respectively. She practised as a litigation and commercial attorney for almost 3 years before joining the firm in 2018 as a junior associate in the ICT Department.
Arinda has been sharpening her skills and expanding her knowledge substantially and enjoys being an all-rounder in the firm. She deals with various aspects of ICT law, including e-commerce, drafting of website terms and conditions, service level agreements, software development, maintenance and support agreements, licensing agreements, privacy (including POPI and GDPR compliance), ISPA and WASPA complaints and trademark registrations.
She also attends to general commercial drafting and advice, civil litigation, property disputes, consumer law, matrimonial property law, notarial work and advice on engineering contracts.
Arinda has been pivotal in establishing and building our social media law department where she deals with protection from online harassment, defamation of character and cyberbullying. She also enjoys drafting social media and ICT policies.
She provides regular training workshops on privacy and data protection and social media in the workplace. She also does workshops for learners, teachers and parents on social media usages and risks.
