Najma Abdol, Litigation assistant.

Najma Abdol is currently working at Dingley Marshall Lewin as a litigation assistant.

Najma matriculated from Spine Road High in Mitchells Plain, after which she commenced her career in retail. From there on she worked as a lab assistant in the pathology sector for ten years. After a good run, Najma decided to change her career path by moving into the legal sector. For two years she worked at The Law Society of Western Cape before joining Dingley Marshall Lewin in 2017.

Najma is currently completing her courses at The South African School of Paralegal Studies, for Civil Litigation and Debt Collection. She plans to finish these courses in April 2020.

Najma loves learning new things and pushing herself beyond her comfort zone. If she isn’t spending a day out on the beach or learning how to rollerblade, she is traveling to different corners of the country and taking selfies. When it comes to her relationships with others, she enjoys laughing over the latest comedy standup jokes and sharing a meal. She supports her wellbeing by taking boxing and cross-fit classes, and she runs often.

Nasreen Cassiem, Senior Assistant to Attorneys

Nasreen Cassiem is currently working at Dingley Marshall Lewin as an senior assistant to our attorneys.

Fresh out of high school, Nasreen joined Foschini Limited as a Creditor’s Clerk before moving to Southern Sun International and then DairyBelle where she was enrolled as a delegate of the Company’s Affirmative Action Management Programme.  She embraced the opportunity presented to her and obtained a Human Resources Diploma through Damelin Management School and a PRISA Certficate in Public Relations.  As part of her development programme Nasreen attended various managerial short courses over the 2 year programme and was afforded the opportunity to work in various departments such as Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Administration and Distribution during her 5-year service in order to put her training into practice.

Nasreen then went to Telkom SA Ltd as an Executive Assistant to the Distribution and Procurement Services Executive and held that position for 5 years before being promoted to Operations Specialist within Procurement Services.  She assisted with the implementation of the Procurement Service Call Centre and was part of the process from inception to ‘go-live’.  A few years later Nasreen was again part of the national SAP R3 implementation project team and was responsible for system training and enhancements.

After 10 years at Telkom she decided to take a year off, change her career path and completed her Paralegal Diploma.  She spent the next 13 years at Von Lieres Cooper Barlow as a litigation paralegal and worked in the Litigation and Recoveries Department before recently joining  our firm.

During her down time Nasreen enjoys the freedom of running and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Heidi Johnson, Office administrator.

Heidi Johnson is currently working at Dingley Marshall Lewin as an office administrator.

Heidi matriculated from Plumstead High School, after which she commenced her career in jewelry retail. From there on she worked as a receptionist at small law firm in Woodstock. With the experience and knowledge she gained there, she moved on to bigger firms like Herold Gie, Mohamed’s Inc and STBB where she worked as both a litigation secretary and an RAF Secretary before joining Dingley Marshall Lewin in February 2014. 

Heidi has experience in commercial law, litigation, collections and Road Accident Fund claims. Heidi has a young son with an active sports and gaming life which takes up most of her spare time.  She is passionate about animals and gardening and tends to her established lemon, guava and pomegranate trees in her home garden. She’s also an experienced classical guitar player since the age of 9. She supports her wellbeing by taking yoga and meditation classes and she has also recently started running.

Aurelia Njadayi, Filing assistant.

Aurelia Njadayi is currently working at Dingley Marshall Lewin both as a filing assistant to the litigation department as well as cleaning our offices and making us awesome coffee!

Aurelia joined Dingley Marshall Lewin in September 2010. While she was working with us, she decided to sharpen her skills in computer literacy and administrative matters. After completing her course, she commenced her role in assisting our litigation department whilst retaining the responsibility of keeping our office space beautiful.

Aurelia has a Certificate in Computer Literacy and Administrative Skills (Silulo Technicon, Cape Town) and assists all the Dingley Marshall Lewin lawyers who specialize in litigation.

Aurelia is dedicated to spending most of her free time at her church – Women’s Manyano – in Khayelitsha. She plays an important role in this community and is involved in many projects being run at Women’s Manyano. She has been a member there for many, many years.  When she is not doing this, she enjoys recreational writing. Most of all, Aurelia loves spending time with her family and beautiful children.
