Megan is an Associate at DML. She works within our Corporate and Commercial and Litigation pillars.
Megan has in-depth experience in both Magistrate’s Court and High Court practice, across various jurisdictions. She values the importance of navigating clients carefully through dispute resolution and litigation practices – in and outside of court.
She is also expanding her practice by working on corporate and commercial matters. She is particularly interested in the legalities surrounding small and medium-sized businesses, and entrepreneurial start-ups.
Megan assists senior colleagues on complex matters in various fields of law. She has gained extensive experience in corporate and commercial litigation, social media law, insolvency law and the law of contracts.
She particularly enjoys the client-facing aspect of her practice, which ranges from private individuals to large corporate entities and NPOs. She has a sharp focus on time management and applies a disciplined approach to purposefully seek solutions for her clients. She works well under pressure and takes pride in resolving matters efficiently.
Background
Megan obtained her LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch. After a gap year travelling New Zealand, Fiji and Asia, she returned to South Africa to join DML as a Candidate Attorney in 2020. She completed her articles in 2022 and was subsequently admitted as an Attorney at the High Court of South Africa.
Megan believes that the success of any pursuit, both towards a thriving career and personal growth, starts with mental, spiritual and physical health. She fills her leisure time with friends, family, sport and mountain adventures.
